Stored with AvSpecs at Ardmore is this former US Navy J4F-2 Widgeon BuAerNo.37726. The F-2 was the 5-seater version of the F-1 for the US Navy. In total 131 aircraft of this version were constructed. This Widgeon came to New Zealand in May 1964.

Both airworthy former RNZAF Strikemasters Mk.88 NZ6362 and NZ6370 (ZK-STR) have been sold to Blue Air Training, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the time of this photo, the Strikemasters were overhauled by Pioneer Aero at Ardmore.

Former 41 Squadron, RNZAF, Freighter NZ5911 has been acquired for the new Aerospace Bristol Museum at Filton and is due to be ferried from New Zealand to the UK later in 2017. The partly dismantled Freighter is seen here on a fine winter day in 2014.

NZ Aerospace Industries (now Pacific Aerospace Corporation Ltd.) prototype Airtrainer, CT/4A ZK-DGY. First deliveries were to the Thai Air Force who took 24 aircraft from October 1973. The RNZAF operated a total of 19 CT/4B and 13 CT/4E Airtrainers.

NZ1762's flying days with the RNZAF Auckland Aviation Sports Club ended in January 1999 with a landing accident at Waiheke Island. After rebuild '62 now operates out of Ardmore aerodrome, registered as ZK-CPG.

A number of current NZ Warbirds Association members flew '09' on 75 and 2 Squadron at RNZAF Base Ohakea. Last of her 6511 landings, of which 28 were arrestor wire landings, was on 17 December 2001 at Woodbourne. NZ6209 came to Ardmore on 7 March, 2012.

Former RNZAF Skyhawk pilot Graham Bethell's P-51 undergoing winter maintenance by Pioneer Aero technicians in the New Zealand Warbirds Association hangar at Ardmore. NZ2415 is in the markings of No. 3 (Canterbury) Territorial Air Force Squadron.

MH367 entered service with 65 Squadron, RAF, in August 1943 at RAF Kingsnorth. Partially scrapped after the war, MH367 was rebuilt as a two-seat and first flew in 2006. Two years later the Spitfire came to New Zealand and is currently based at Ardmore.

KA114 under restoration with AvSpecs in December 2010. The Mosquito is now finished in the colours of 487 (NZ) Squadron and first flew on 27th September, 2012, piloted by Keith Skilling and Dave Philips with Warren Denholm of AvSpecs as 'observer'.

Tomahawk IIb AK295 was delivered to the Sovjet Air Force in 1942. The remains of the aircraft were recovered from the crash site in the early 1990's. AK295 is under rebuild by AvSpecs for Rod Lewis.

NH799 is under restoration to airworthy condition with AvSpecs at Ardmore. In 1996 the Spitfire crashed on take-off from Wanaka. The Spitfire was originally restored by Historic Flying Ltd., Audley End, in the early '90s and first flew on 21 January 1994.

NZ5911 is in open store at Ardmore aerodrome. The two Bristol Hercules 735s and fin have been removed. The aircraft was in service with the RNZAF from 1954 until 1977. The RNZAF's 12 Freighters were operated by 1, 3 and 41 Squadrons.
