ZJ271 was the only Squirrel not to wear DFHS titles. For the 1999 world championships for helicopter flying it received Royal Air Force titles and the CFS badge.

After being wfu the Dutch Starfighters were stored at Ypenburg. In 1987 a spottersday was held to take pictures of the aircraft in the storage area.

In 1991 this MiG-17 turned up in the Uetersen museum. It's now preserved in Gatow. Real serial 615.

The Swiss Hunter trainers were used as ECM aircraft. The additional chaff/flare dispenser can be seen on the outer pylon.

The Hunter F58A was a secondhand series of Hunter acquired by the Swiss AF. Most F58A's were scrapped in the early nineties.

In 1983 we went on a tienertour day trip to Volkel: by train to Oss and by rental bike to Volkel. A trip of over three hours and in the afternoon the same way back.

This preserved MiG-21PF shows some commander markings on the fin. It is one of the great many aircraft preserved in the local museum, but one of the few to be decently photographed.
